Weclome! We are Reverend Jim and Mary Jo Laupp. We’re so glad you’ve stopped by. Take a moment to get to know us and please feel free to contact us.
Mary Jo is a lifelong musician, having started piano at the age of 4 1/2. At the present, she spends a significant portion of her work life playing for the choir department at the local high school as well as accompanying the Spring musical at the local community college. She also works with the local theater community as a performer and director. Mary Jo began writing original songs in her early 30’s and relased her first album in December 2016.
Jim experienced his call to ministry while he was in high school. He has been a Youth Pastor and a Senior Pastor and is currently the Associate Pastor of Preaching at 2nd Baptist Church in Fort Dodge, IA. His driving passion is to help build unity within the body of believers.
Jim and Mary Jo met in 1986, during their freshman year of college at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI (formerly Grand Rapids Baptist College) and were married in January of 1989. They have four adult children, Esther, Margaret, Janessa, and Jay, and they became grandparents in May of 2017.
Our Mission is simple – we strive to use music and the teaching of scripture to encourage believers to grow in faith and unity.
John 17:22-23 – The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.
On our site you will find short Bible lessons, Mary Jo’s musings about songs and more. It is our intention to share our own faith journies and experiences to build up and encourage our family of faith.
Mary Jo will also occasionally share her musical adventures with you and Pastor Jim will share, when he has the opportunity, videos of his preaching opportunities.
Please feel free to contact us if you should have questions, if you would like to request prayer, or if you seek Biblical counsel you can send an email to email@example.com
Have a blessed day!
